It's that time again!
My new Christmas Cards are now available!
This year, I have a special duo of cards, as a percentage of the proceeds of every Christmas card sold will go towards preserving St Nicholas church, a small historic church in Suffolk, England.

"What Child is This,"
Pastel.

"This, this is Christ the King,"
Pastel.
These two Christmas cards feature the exterior and interior of this church which, though small, has stood tall through many centuries, dating from the 1500s.
I learned about this particular church through architectural historian Daniel Wilson. I discovered his page on Instagram,
(@greatbritisharchitecture) and was moved by his passion for preserving this local medieval church of his parish, which though small, is full of character and history.

The tower of St Nicholas' church dates from the 1400s
As this church is named for a saint who has ties to Christmas, the idea came to me to use it in a Christmas design.
In "What Child is This," I gave a little nod to the original St Nick in the lapels of Santa's coat.
As a reminder that the event we celebrate on Christmas is not just about something that happened long ago, but is very much relevant now, then, and always, I have put a "modern" version of the Holy Family, with the Christ Child accepting Santa's gift.

For the second design, I wanted to depict the drama of midnight mass, a favorite tradition.
I had fun imagining how the interior might be lit with Christmas decorations!

In recent years, thousands of churches across the UK have had to close due to neglect or lack of funds.
This Christmas, your purchase of these cards will go towards helping St Nicholas church to afford repairs, and provide heating and electricity.
May Christmas services be warm and bright!
